Who

23PSI is currently a work-in-progress t-shirt label that will be characterised by clean bold designs rendered with a degree of real world edge. We are big fans of art and graphic design, architecture, movies, music and photography but also find inspiration in things we see and hear everyday. We like our designs bold as t-shirts are more like moving billboards that don’t allow close or prolonged inspection. So whatever the visual, it should provoke what we call the Second Look. The first is when the design grabs the attention of a viewer (say someone who’s walking towards you). But this alone isn’t enough. It must be compelling enough to provoke another glance and the viewer should by this time have figured out what it is visually although not necessarily the subtext or its meaning. Our t-shirts will be printed in limited numbers though not in numbered limited editions. It’s just that we are easily bored. We much prefer to move on with coming up with new designs to keep things fresh than to have the hassle of dealing with unsold stock. This blog which will be used to showcase work-in-progress upcoming designs though not everything posted here will go to print. For that matter not everything printed will be posted here first.
